Rob Garrett as Neil Diamond in Las Vegas

Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute” Vegas residency show CONTINUES ON in the “Modern Showrooms Las Vegas” at Alexis Park Las Vegas Hotel.

Neil Diamond is one of the greatest and most admired singer/songwriters in contemporary pop-rock music history.

Besides being one of the top-selling and most successful live artists ever, he’s also written and recorded the music that defined generations — including some of the most unforgettable songs on the planet.

In early 2018, shortly before his 77th birthday, Neil Diamond retired from touring after being diagnosed with Parkinson’s.

However, Diamond’s live performance legacy continues to be celebrated for audiences across the globe through longtime Las Vegas performer Rob Garrett, widely regarded as the top Neil Diamond tribute artist.

Ask Google “who is America’s number one Neil Diamond tribute artist,” and you’ll always hear Rob Garrett.

Like his musical hero, Rob Garrett was born in Brooklyn, NY.

In May 1974, his parents moved the family from New York City to the Las Vegas Valley, where, in 1976, he witnessed his first live Neil Diamond show when Diamond debuted in Las Vegas to record crowds at the Aladdin Hotel’s “Theater for the Performing Arts” in July 1976.

Garrett went on to see him 16 more times across the country—right up until Diamond’s final U.S. concert at the Los Angeles Forum on August 12, 2017.

In 1980, Garrett formed his own band, “Rock n Roll Heaven,” and enjoyed a decade-and-a-half career in Las Vegas and across the nation before transitioning from cover band frontman to a tribute artist dedicated to one of his boyhood inspirations.

In 1995, Garrett was selected by the legendary Paul Revere to portray Neil Diamond in the Honolulu production of “Legends in Concert”.

What was meant to be a three-month trial turned into a long-term hit show.

By August 1998, Garrett returned home to Las Vegas and continued to perform with “Legends” for another couple of years before deciding to launch his own show.

He began a busy tour circuit, building a large and loyal following Rob Garrett Neil Diamond Tribute Show live band along the way—earning the title “King of Diamonds Neil Diamond Tribute.”

He continues to draw packed houses nationwide, often in venues fit for superstars.

Garrett has also earned several honors, including “Male Tribute Artist of the Year.”

“Since he (Diamond) announced his retirement, I’ve felt a strong sense of responsibility to keep his legacy alive for future generations. It’s something I never get tired of doing,” he said.

On May 19, 2025 officially proclaimed the date “Rob Garrett Day,” commemorating his 50 years living in Las Vegas and 44 years as a professional Vegas performer.

Now in the year 2025, Garrett celebrates 45 years on stage in Las Vegas, with the last three decades devoted solely to paying tribute to the now-retired Neil Diamond.

It has been said that no other tribute artist is so closely identified with the original performer as Garrett, who has played in more Vegas rooms than any peer.

Since the June closing of “A Beautiful Noise” (the Broadway jukebox musical based on Diamond’s life story), Rob Garrett’s “King of Diamonds” show has become the only active Neil Diamond tribute production in America.

Alexis Park Resort Hotel is located at 375 E. Harmon Ave., just ¼ mile west of Paradise Rd..
